The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Under the direction of the Manager of Health Services, the incumbent is responsible for: Coordination of care related to specialized breastfeeding support for the Women’s Health, NICU and Child Health Programs to include: providing quality care; acting as a resource to other health care professionals; participating in the discharge process; educating patients, family, staff and students with respect to breastfeeding; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Minimum of three years recent clinical experience in maternal or newborn nursing. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduation from an approved School of Nursing required. BN preferred. SPECIAL TRAINING: Successful completion of certification as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and access to a vehicle required. Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professional associations e. g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
