Position Overview The Registered Nurse functions as an independent self-directed professional in the delivery of direct patient focussed care ensuring the patient is the centre of all planning and decision making activities related to care delivery. The Registered Nurse works within the framework of the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics and the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Experience Two years recent PACU/ICU/Day Surgery experience is required. Pre backssment Clinic is preferred in the surgical specialties provided within the program. Adult and Pediatric experience is preferred. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required. Advanced preparation in relevant clinical post graduate courses may be required. Certification/Licensure/Registration Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM). Active participation in professional associations e. g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with MHC Policy.
