The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2024. Applicants must have a Ph. D. degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related area by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching in Pharmacology and/or Toxicology. We seek candidates whose professional educational expertise complements and strengthens our existing departmental strengths ( http: //www. pharmtox. utoronto. ca ). The successful candidate will have educational and professional expertise and experience in the field of Biomedical Toxicology and/or Drug Metabolism. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and pedagogical inquiry and have undergraduate and/or graduate and/or professional teaching experience that includes lecture preparation, delivery and backssment. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to improving their pedagogical practices, and an interest in scholarship of teaching and learning. Evidence for excellence in teaching and pedagogical inquiry can be demonstrated in a variety of ways, including (but not limited to) teaching accomplishments, innovative course development, awards and accolades, presentations at and participation in significant conferences and the teaching dossier.
