HOSPICE VOLUNTEER- Dependable Hospice is looking to add compassionate volunteers to our hospice team. Volunteers are a vital part of our hospice Care Team as they provide s sense of comfort and support to patients and their families. It is proven, that people who volunteer are 42% happier. Enrich your life by joining our Hospice team today! We are looking for volunteer companions, reflexologists, and massage therapists. Give back to your community Support others during the end-of-life process Expand your social and professional network Make a difference Get paid with smiles and compassion POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing companionship to patients/families; Providing emotional support to patients/families; Reporting on patient/family status; If providing patient services, submit Volunteer Visit Notes, which follow the Volunteer Plan of Care, per agency policy. Submit timesheets per company policy. Maintain confidentiality per HIPPA and agency policy. Maintain open communication and report regularly to the Volunteer Coordinator. QUALIFICATIONS: Understanding and supportive of hospice philosophy. A compassionate person who is accepting and respectful of people's differences. Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order, if making patient visits. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. #IND3
