Hamilton Animal Hospital is looking for an Associate Urgent Care DVM to join our team! Hamilton is a general practice hospital with urgent care services, and we're looking to expand and launch a full urgent care on top of existing GP services. We are seeking an Associate Urgent Care DVM who is dependable, energetic and enthusiastic about urgent care medicine! Our multi-doctor practice provides a bond-centered environment that is exciting, fast-paced, and professionally challenging while keeping the service to our clients and their pets at the center of our focus. Our team is looking for a DVM who is open to a flexible schedule. Living in Huntington Beach Huntington Beach is a beautiful seaside town in Southern CA that is centered in between LA and Orange County, making it easy to commute to major attractions. Our hospital is situated right behind a several mile long bike path that borders the ocean and a natural stream. It's not uncommon for our teammates to utilize this path during their breaks! WHAT WE OFFER: Competitive Salary ($140,000 - $200,000 per year) Production Bonus Pay Medical/Dental/Vision insurance Paid Time Off Continuing Education time off and reimbursement Financial Wellness Program 401K + company match Paid license fees, VIN/Plumbs membership, and Liability Insurance Employee Referral Program Work/Life Balance (me time) CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS: Supports excellence in client experience Works collaboratively with HM and Medical Director Practices high quality, gold standard medicine Triage and evaluate pets presented for urgent or emergency medical conditions Perform initial stabilization and critical care for sick or injured animals Diagnose and treat a wide range of urgent medical issues such as toxin exposure, trauma, respiratory distress, seizures, etc. Collaborate with emergency staff and specialty departments as needed Make timely medical decisions with efficacy and confidence under pressure COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE: Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of CA 2+ years of clinical experience with urgent care medicine Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment Good communication skills, both written and verbal Time-management and delegation abilities Exercises sound judgment and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others Apply today!
