Do you love providing exceptional customer service? Do you have barista experience making specialty coffee drinks and other hot or cold beverages? Are you looking to take on a leadership role managing food and beverage service in a retail store setting? If you answered " yes! " learn more about our open position below. This on-site, full-time position will align with store opening hours with shifts Tuesday-Saturday to start. As the team size grows, these hours may shift. Full time employees are eligible to join our competitive benefits program after six months of employment; a portion of the monthly fees will be paid by cōchu. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 1 year experience as a barista with understanding of different brews and specialty coffee beverages. Must have experience with specialty coffee equipment (not fully automatic machines), with supervisory experience in this area considered an asset. Minimum 2 or more years in retail or customer service position with demonstrated increase in responsibilities. Minimum 1 or more years of leadership and management experience, preferably in the food industry, with experience managing a group of 2 or more staff and responsible for: Hiring, terminations, performance management, scheduling, and training. Scheduling staff for business coverage by time of day and day of the week. Strong ability to recognize talents in staff and delegate work accordingly, while supporting them in areas of improvement. A desire to take on new opportunities and challenges The ability and drive to determine areas of improvement, and work with the team to execute on ideas to raise the bar throughout our operations.
