Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, the Environmental Technician is responsible for backssing environmental conditions, backssing compliance, and facilitating environmental education and compliance assurance to support the ongoing management and compliance of regional and local permits at Line Creek Operations. This role operates on a 4 X 4 rotation of straight day shifts. To be successful, we are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys coordinating field tasks, and finding solutions in a fast-paced, team environment. This person has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and can engage, build, and maintain internal and external relationships. Equally strong abilities in working independently and in a team, while remaining positive and motivated in outdoor, remote locations is vital. Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Manage multiple, broad based sampling and monitoring programs and collection of chemical, physical and biological tests (water, biota, sediment) Apply quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs Maintain, repair, and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment and instrumentation Carry out environmental data entry, review, and management Participate in field investigations and inspections Coordinate contractor management to ensure work is being conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope Supervise environmental projects,.
