We are working closely alongside a Local Authority Barry to assist with the appointment of a Participation and Training Officer , on a 6-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Summary: To support the work of the Communities for Work plus team by supporting the delivery of the Community Engagement Plan, encouraging clients participation in the programme and training opportunities. Liaising with local partners to maximise employment and skills development opportunities for participants. Responsibilities: To develop, maintain and implement the Community Engagement Plan for the Communities for Work Plus programme. To develop and implement engagement projects and events to break down communication barriers with the public. To support the Communities for Work Plus Coordinator to deliver the programme. To lead on community involvement in projects and ensure targets are met. To liaise with Vale Council departments such as Adult Community Learning to secure relevant training opportunities for participants To collaborate with Employer Liaison Officer to increase referrals and opportunities for participants Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
