Transit Driver Location: Whistler, BCMultiple Openings - Full-Time Seasonal Positions Available (November 2023 - April 2024)PWTransit is currently seeking career oriented Conventional Transit Bus Drivers to join our team in Whistler, British Columbia. Transit Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior service. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities. We offer competitive wages ($31.06 per hour), a generous pension plan, and benefits. Position Requirements: A valid class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening Clear criminal record Must be organized, punctual and reliable Possess excellent driving skills and habits Ability to read maps and navigate Ability to communicate effectively Ability to make sound decisions on short notice under stressful situations in all types of weather A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions PWTransit, a division of Calgary-based Pacific Western Transportation, is a full-service bus transportation company, with operations located in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.
