Date Posted: 10/05/2023 Closing Date: 11/10/2023 , 11:59PM ET Req ID: 34191 Job Category: Faculty - Clinical Faculty/Division: Temerty Faculty of Medicine Department: Dept of Medicine Hospital Affiliation: University Health Network (UHN) & Sinai Health System (SHS) Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Description: The University Health Network (UHN), Division of Infectious Diseases and the Ajmera Transplant Centre, in conjunction with the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, is seeking an Academic Infectious Diseases Physician with interest in Transplant Infectious Disease and the Immunocompromised Host, in the Clinician Investigator track. The successful applicant must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment as a Clinician at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor within the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. The effective start date is January 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. A physician with excellent critical thinking and research record is being sought to support the Immunocompromised Host Infectious Diseases program while advancing knowledge acquisition and clinical care in infectious diseases at the University of Toronto, Division of Infectious Diseases. The candidate must have interest and expertise in managing infectious complications in the immunocompromised host including those with underlying transplant and oncology diagnoses. The successful candidate will be expected to participate as a member of the inpatient Transplant Infectious Disease and Immunocompromised Host consultation service, contribute to infectious diseases ambulatory care clinics, and contribute to teaching of trainee. They will report to the Division Director of Infectious Diseases, as well as the Program Medical Director of the Ajmera Transplant Centre.
